Location:
The race takes place on historic Jekyll Island, GA (directions). Great place for destination triathlon and is one of the fastest courses in Georgia. Just a few hours south of Atlanta and only a few miles off I-95

Pasta Dinner is being offered from 6 – 8pm on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. It is $15.00 per person and includes entry to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center which is staying open late specifically for guests of the Pasta Dinner. Due to limitations in space there are only 100 tickets available. Tickets can be purchased online on Active.com while registering for the event or at JekyllIsland.com/TurtleCrawl. No Race Day Registration
Transfers:

The request to transfer out of a race must be made 14 days or more prior to that scheduled event date.  No transfers will be allowed underneath this deadline. The fee to transfer registration to another athlete is $30. The fee must be accompanied with an application from the new participant. Transfers can be made to any race produced by Georgia Multisports Productions. However, there are no transfers allowed after the last race of the season to another race in the following season.

  • Bike Course Map: Click here. Due to construction on Jekyll Island and to ensure your safety we have had to change the bike course from the 2009 course. The bike will be slightly longer than in past years.

Course Description:
  • Swim: Time trial start for this leg of the event with your start based on previously submitted time. Point to point course designed with buoys on the left during the swim.
  • Bike: The bike is two-looped course around Jekyll Island. The course is fast and flat and ready for a personal record. A water bottle exchange is available at approximately twelve miles.
  • Run: Out and back with a view of the Atlantic Ocean the entire run. Fast and flat with aide stations every mile on the course. Water and Gatorade will be served at each station.Exiting the transition will be an additional aide station also with water and Gatorade.
Roswell Bicycles will be available for last minute bike repairs and purchases.

Georgia Multisports Productions for safety reason has established a course and race completion time line as follows:
  • Swim: 1 hour.
  • Bike: 2 1/2 hours or total of 3 1/2 hours of swim and bike.
  • Run: Race must be completed in 4 1/2 hours.
You may be asked to return your timing chip and will not receive an official time if you choose to complete the event it will be without course security or support.
Wetsuits:
Given the time of year wetsuits might be allowed.
Relay Teams: Racers can form teams of two or three to compete in the triathlon, with each athlete racing one event. Each team member must fill out separate applications and waiver.
Packet Pick-Up
You can register at bike shop only during packet pick-up.
Bike shops are sponsors and can not answer question regarding the event. Please call Jim Rainey at 770-926-2367 or email: jim@gamultisports.com.
  • Must have valid drivers license and current USAT card if you are member.
  • No one can pick up your packet except you.Race day packet pick-up is available.
  • No race day registration.

  • 5:30am Transition Opens.
  • 5:30am to 7:00am Packet Pick UP.
  • 7:15am Transition Closed – Pre-race meeting.
  • 7:30am Swim Start.
  • 11:30am Awards Ceremony.

This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, the national governing body for the sport of Triathlon. We suggest all our participants become familiar with USA Triathlon Rules and Regulations. Officials will be present enforcing these rules.
This is a ChampionChip Timed Event.
