Aflac Iron Girl Women's Triathlon

Georgia Multisports Productions will direct the all women's triathlon at Lake Lanier Islands Resort on Sunday, June 29, 2008.  This race is part of a 10-city national series that focuses on high-quality competitive women's running and  multisports events.  Iron Girl owned by World Triathlon Corporation, producers of the Ironman (Kona, HI) and Ironman 70.3 (Clearwater, FL) triathlon world championships.  For event information go to the Iron Girls website. The Georgia Veterans Triathlon is held at the Georgia Memorial State Park in Cordele, GA.  This race is one of the best-kept secrets for those who want to race on a fast and very flat course. Cordele is just a few hours south of Atlanta and only a few miles off I-75 (exit 101). Directions

Awards

• Master's men and women - top three finisher
• Clydesdale (200+) and Athena - three deep.
• Relays - top three only.
• Top three overall men and women.
• Age group awards will be given three deep in men’s and women’s, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Duathlon awards will depend on the number of registered participants.

Packet Pick – Up and Registration will be held in the Lobby of the Lake Blackshear Resort on Friday, August 15, 2008 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm.

Packet Pick – Up and Registration will be available race morning from 6:00am to 7:30am

6:00 am  - 7:30 am Get body marked, pick up Champion Chip and rack your bike, set up your transition area
